Financial Aid and Tuition Assistance
Southern is dedicated to providing an affordable and accessible graduate education. A range of tuition assistance options—including budgeting plans, graduate assistantships, and monthly payment plans—are available to support your academic and professional ambitions. To begin exploring financial aid opportunities, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov.
You may qualify for the Lifetime Learning Credit when filing your taxes, and claim up to $2,000 per student. For more information, contact your tax adviser or consult the IRS booklet “Tax Benefits for Education,” available online at www.irs.gov.
Tennessee Behavioral Health Pathways Scholarship
The Tennessee Behavioral Health Pathways Scholarship Initiative offers up to $15,000 per academic year to help a Tennessee resident pay for tuition in a behavioral health master’s degree program at an accredited Tennessee college or university. Learn more here.
